Very fresh, focused style, with damson plum and red cherry coulis notes leading the way while red tea, dark earth and an iron notes develop steadily through the back half. Good latent grip. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2022 through 2034. 2,900 cases made. –JM

Rouge grenat dense. Bouquet élégant et subtil. Notes de cassis, touche confite et élégante nuance boisée. En bouche le vin affiche la fraicheur de sa structure acide ainsi que des tannins soyeux et bien enrobés. Un vin équilibré, fin, qui se révèle lentement.

Blackberries, dark cherries and blueberries with some earthy notes. Spice and cigar-box, too. Full-bodied with a savory texture and firm tannins. Clove and crushed-stone undertones. Clean, flavorful finish with length. Try after 2024.

The 2018 Dassault has a rich, ripe bouquet with blueberry and crème de cassis aromas, a tad overripe for my liking but not as severe as others. The palate is medium-bodied and quite oaky on the entry that masks some of the fruit expression on the finish. It feels a little closed but it does convey a sense of balance. Give it three to five years once in bottle.

Belle intensité sur les fruits noirs qui s'ouvre sur une bouche souple et gourmande. Très jolie texture avec un tanin au relief épicé. La finale exprime uen belle notion de fraîcheur.

Smoke, licorice and espresso jump before you'll find the juicy black cherries. The wine is round, supple and oaky. Produced in a modern style, this is going to please some more than others. You will be able to enjoy this wine early.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Dassault has pronounced scents of baked red and black plums, fruitcake and raspberry coulis with touches of fallen leaves, Chinese five spice and menthol. Full, rich and spicy in the mouth, it has a wonderfully velvety texture and plenty of freshness lifting the hedonic fruit to a long, spicy finish.
