The 2015 Dassault has a very ripe, blueberry and cassis-scented bouquet, licorice developing with aeration; this is a heady and opulent Saint Émilion driven by that ripe Merlot. The palate is sweet and rounded, layers of ripe dark cherry, menthol and chocolate-tinged fruit, leading to a finish that needs more freshness and finesse. This just feels a little overblown and for want of a better expression, trying too hard.

93–95. Barrel Sample. This is a beautifully structured wine. Acidity and spice mingle with rich black-currant fruits. It is concentrated, with a fine stream of fresh acidity cutting through it. At this point, the wine's weight and freshness are melding well.

La sécheresse de 2015 profite parfaitement à ce cru qui de fait offre un vin rond, juteux, savoureux avec un corps gras et puissant. Finale pleine de goût. Tanin bien enveloppé. Très bonne longueur.
L'élevage en dira probablement plus et à la hausse.

Dunkles Granat, recht satt in der Mitte, rubiner Rand. Erstaunlich offenes Bouquet, Schoko- und Pflaumentöne unterlegt mit einem leicht erdigen Schimmer. Mittelgewichtiger Gaumen, schön würziges Extrakt, blaubeeriges Finale mit Schwarzteenoten vermischt, etwas mürbe Tannine zeigend.
