Deepish crimson. Marked cedary oak aroma but nicely perfumed overall. But really dominated by the oak on the palate. I hope the fruit will re-emerge. Lots of freshness but at the moment the freshness makes the tannins slightly hard.

Nez fumé et épicé. Notes de cèdre. Un peu dominé par le bois à ce stade, il révèle au palais un corps plaisant, à la structure précise, avec une jolie trame et une finale sur le fruit assez soutenue.

The 2015 Bouscaut has a brisk, slightly earthy bouquet with black fruit mixed and tinctured by a slight metallic scent. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy entry, perhaps a touch primal compared to its peers, but there is clearly plenty of fruit concentration here, and I appreciate the saline, black olive finish that lingers in the mouth. This may improve during its élevage, so it is one to keep an eye on. Drink 2020-2035

Coffee beans laid over black cherry fruits – textbook smoky, chargrilled aromas. Sexy, distinctive, damson and black cherry, just a little tight and oak-driven. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 6% Malbec. 2023-2032
