This is a peaceful and comfortable red wine in Graves. Although aromas' complexity is not gorgeous, it has a friendly character with delicate berries, silky tannins, and a round body. ???????Graves????,???????????,????????????????,???????????Chantegrive 2019????????

The 2019 Château De Chantegrive is also terrific, with lots of black cherry and darker raspberry fruits to go with cedary herbs, tobacco, and earth. Nicely textured, balanced, and medium-bodied, it's well worth buying and drinking. It should keep for a decade.

The 2019 Chantegrive has turned out well, exhibiting aromas of sweet berries, cherries and plums mingled with notions of loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, charming and lively, with powdery tannins and a nicely balanced profile, it's an attractive, understated Graves that will flesh out with a few years in bottle.

The 2019 Chantegrive never came together the way I had hoped. Instead of filling out, it has dried out. It is impossible to ignore the wine's aggressive contours. Tasted two times.

The 2019 Chantegrive has a tightly wound nose at first, opening with aeration to reveal black currant, sage and clove scents; more scorched earth aromas develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, and fine acidity, if maybe just a little drier on the finish than I would have preferred. Still, it should give several years of drinking pleasure.

Composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2019 Chantegrive offers up notes of baked plums, warm cassis and blackberry preserves plus hints of bay leaves, underbrush, pencil lead and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm foundation of chewy tannins with just enough freshness to lift the muscular black fruits, finishing earthy.

The 2019 Chantegrive is a powerful, dense Graves. Black cherry jam, licorice, spice, gravel, incense, and earthiness abound in this dense, powerful red. There is quite a bit of potential, especially if the tannins soften. Tasted two times.

The 2019 Chantegrive is quite dense on the nose, offering dusky black fruit, damp loam and briny aromas that eventually become quite expressive. The palate is medium-bodied, a little rustic on the entry with ferrous black fruit. The acidity is well judged and there is plenty of freshness on the finish. Perfect for weekday drinking. Tasted three times.

Medium-bodied, elegant, forward and easy to drink, the fruit is sweet and ripe with a hint of smoke and soft textures. This will be fun to drink on release. 87-89 Pts
