The Sarget de Gruaud Larose, a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, Cabernet Franc 6% and 7% Petit Verdot, has a light nose with blackcurrant and briary: moderate vigour and delineation, perhaps missing a little vigour. The palate is light on the entry with tart red fruit, quite high acidity and a pointed finish.
