The generous flavors are soft, but not flabby. The wine possesses outstanding concentration yet is elegant and refreshing. This is a beautifully knit, harmonious Ducru. The 1985 offers a wonderful, rich, ripe, generous, curranty fruitiness, medium to full body, a creamy texture backed by ripe tannins, and a long, balanced, impressive finish. This is one 1985 that may well turn out to be a clone of this property's 1953 - high praise indeed. Anticipated maturity: Now-2010. Last tasted, 1/93.
