Nez d’une belle intensité, sur des notes fruitées intenses. Corps consistant, d’une construction précise. Belle densité à l’évolution. La trame et fine et le tanin fin et juteux. Très jolie finale.

The 2015 Sociando Mallet is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc this year. It has a rather introspective bouquet, broody and earthy, although with aeration it reveals pleasant blackberry and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, a little rustic and brutish at the moment with an abrasive finish that will hopefully soften by the time it is in bottle. I feel that this was just upended by the storms that swept across the region in September. Drink 2019-2028

Firm, taught, bright and crisp, the crunchy cranberry and cassis show a tartness that is going to please those that also appreciate the herbal character found in this wine.

La propriété hésite encore entre deux assemblages : le plus large donne un vin très harmonieux, équilibré, séveux et terminant sur un tannin médocain, avec une précision retrouvée. Le plus restrictif apporte la puissance et la densité de milieu de bouche en filiation avec les vins somptueux de l’histoire un peu plus ancienne du château et méritera une note plus élevée encore.

The 2015 Sociando Mallet offers lovely depth and consistency. Silky, floral and beautifully persistent on the palate, the 2015 is one of the most finessed Haut-Médocs I tasted. Bright red stone fruit, earthiness and sweet floral notes are all nicely delineated throughout. The 2015 is not a huge wine, but it makes its case with lovely aromatics, subtlety and grace. This is an especially strong wine from the northern Médoc in 2015. Tasted two times.

Glowing crimson. Ripe and exuberant on the nose. Round and fresh - very like a St-Estèphe in build with its sucky-stony character on the end. Fully ripe and very refreshing. Very vigorous.

Tiefes Purpur, satt in der Mitte, Granatschimmer am Rand. Würziges Bouquet, Heidelbeeren, Brombeeren dann schwarze Pfefferkörner zeigend. Fester Gaumen, viel Fleisch vermittelnd, eine tolle Cabernetaromatik aufweisend und deutlich blaubeerig endend. Nachdem der Sociando von 2011 bis 2014 ein 17-er-Abonnement hatte, muss er sich leider auch in diesem recht grossen Jahr ebenfalls mit dieser Wertung zufriedengeben. 17/20 2023 – 2040

A balanced and harmonious barrel sample with subtle yet firm tannin structure and a long and delicious finish. Should improve nicely with barrel aging.
