A beautiful balance and finesse to this red with blueberry, raspberry and cherry character, a medium body and integrated tannins. Very fine and pretty. Drink or hold.

Tasted twice, there is some lovely floral red berry and cassis fruit on the nose of the Haut Marbuzet. The palate is fresh and vibrant with noticeable acidity and then the finish feels a little “scrunched up” and dray. Known for his fleshiness, I am not sure of the growing season played into the hands of Haut-Marbuzet this year. Tasted April 2013.

Couleur sombre intensité normale. Nez fruité, boisé comme je ne l’avais pas vu depuis longtemps. Bouche ronde, aimable, juteuse tendre, avec du fruit et des tanins enrobés. Longueur moyenne.

Un Haut-Marbuzet joyeux, gourmand, charmeur, digeste, rafraîchissant, harmonieux, avec un nez très expressif, grand fruit, myrtille, pivoine, notes mentholées, une texture charnue, enveloppante, aux tannins soyeux et à la longue finale tonique. Un très joli saint-estèphe.

This is really well done for the vintage with a pretty depth of fruit and quality tannins. Full body, with wonderful integration already of fruit, tannins and acidity, and a long finish. Excellent winemaking.
