The 2017 Lanessan is a pretty, soft wine that will drink well upon release. The bright red cherry, plum and spice notes are nicely woven together in this pretty, mid-weight Haut-Médoc. Missing depth. Tasted two times.

Sharp red fruits with espresso and tobacco nuances bring you to a piquant layer of cassis with soft, gentle tannins and a medium-bodied finish. The wine was made from 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.

The 2017 Lanessan has a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, nicely detailed with a slight mineral note that develops with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with more flesh than its peers, especially in the middle as it gains weight with blackberry, raspberry and light cedar notes. It tapers back towards the second half but overall, this is a very respectable Lanessan for the vintage.

The 2017 Lanessan is deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of cassis, black cherries and tilled soil with hints of black pepper and bay leaves. The palate is medium-bodied, firm and lively in the mouth with just enough fruit and a chewy finish.
