Wine Advocate 93 / 100 par Neal Martin le 31/05/2016 The 2006 Château Canon has a vivid, kirsch and wild strawberry bouquet with touches of orange zest and marmalade, a touch of mushroom in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, sage and melted tar. There is wonderful structure here, superb salinity, completely fulfilling the promise it demonstrated out of bottle. Perhaps yes, I was a little over-enthusiastic at that time, but after ten years it has foraged wonderful focus and vivacity. Seek this out. Tasted January 2016.

Le nez est très fin, avec une jolie trame de fruits .Nous lui avons trouvé des notes de cerise burlat, de prune, de cassis, de myrtille, le tout confituré. L'attaque est souple, grasse et riche, sur des flaveurs de fruits très veloutés. Les tannins sont extrêmement fins et tiennent le vin sur une très belle longueur. Un vin en tout superbe. A boire avant 2025/28

Am Gaumen mittelgewichtig, mineralisch, feine Tannine, von der Säure getragen, zart nach Himbeere, zitroniger Touch im Abgang, bleibt noch etwas kurz.

Good definition. Very well balanced with superbly integrated new oak, good acidity and focus. Cassis, crushed violets and blueberry, with an almost Margaux-like finish. Very pretty and beautifully poised. One of the top Saint Emilions.
