A powerfully rendered Sauternes, with apricot, ginger cream, marzipan, creamed peach and melon fruit, featuring a long, heather honey-filled finish. Shows polished edges already, but will need some time to unwind. Best from 2018 through 2030. –JM

Candied orange peel with apricot and caramel. Vanilla and lots of spice on the palate in this really sweet Sauternes. Dense and long with a still slightly dense and round finish. Second wine of Suduiraut. Drink from 2017

Expressive fruity nose in this top Sauternes with ripe orange, apricot and pineapple. Candied orange peel, white peach and orange blossom. This Sauternes is elegant and with wonderfully balanced sweetness on the palate. Good structure and length. Vibrant acidity and lots of spice in the excellent finish. Excellent. Drink or hold.

"This rich, ripe Sauternes has lovely aromatics but the palate is less complex than the nose suggests. The sweet dried pineapple and dried mango flavours are chunky and are attractive with modest depth. This full bodied Suduiraut will no doubt age beautifully; wait at least five to seven years before approaching it."

Super nose with some exotic pineapple/mango/passion fruit undertones mixed with Vouvray-like blossom-tree and quince jelly, enormous body, but incredible purity and crystal-like transparency, great length, a masterpiece! Drink 2020-2070. (19 points)

Very classic styled Sauternes in a subdued way. I love the notes of orange flowers with honey and spices. Very long and racy. A very beautiful 2009.

Super nez rôti, notes exotiques d'ananas et de mangue, grand caractère, proportions monumentales, immense vin. D'autres échantillons tout aussi monumentaux évoqueront davantage les plus grand Vouvray, comme Rayne-Vigneau, avec des notes de tilleul et de gelée royale de coing.

Tasted blind 4 Apr: Rich and subtle on the nose; it already feels heavy in the glass. Very big and bold. Spicy. One of the sweetest and it seems to be interesting too! Very rich for a 2010. RS 142 g/l, TA 3.8 g/l. Tasted 7 Apr: Mid pale gold. Broad and rich and fresh but with very ripe pear-juice notes. There is real weight here. Much less citrus peel than most other 2010 Sauternes. Real race. Dangerously delicious now. Long. Super clean. Medium to heavy weight. Great undertow. Long. Nervy. (Score: 18 18-35) Drink 2022-2040
