Pristine, fresh and forward nose showing currant leaves, red berries, roasted chili pepper and a hint of chocolate. Juicy and very fluid on the medium-bodied palate packed with fine, creamy tannins and a lengthy, linear finish. Already delicious, but should hold well in the next five to six years.

This is a refined, slender and finely-proportioned wine and the nose, with its herb and wild cherry nuances, looks pure and fragrant. The palate is a little grainy, and it brings traction on the back of the palate, and it needs some time to assimilate the tannins, but this will end up being a long, smooth, soothing style as opposed to a more muscular creation. 17

Medium-bodied, fresh, bright and focused on its floral and red fruit character, the wine is soft, vibrant and fresh, leaving you with loads of sweet, fresh, ripe red berries with a touch of cocoa and earth in the finish. The 2021 La Pointe underwent short pumpovers to enact a gentle extraction and matured in 50% new oak. It has a light but well-defined bouquet with graphite infused red fruit (that trait is accentuated in a bottle tasted at the château). Quite elegant in style. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, pretty red fruit and just a touch of piquancy on the finish. It is a Pomerol that keeps within its means and does not try to overdo itself, making it a better wine that should gain substance in barrel.

Mittleres Rubin. Die Nase ist sehr expressiv, das Barrique noch wahrnehmbar, doch dazu auch blumige Noten, die an Veilchen erinnern. Der Gaumen ist cremig weich, die süsse Frucht wird von einem moderaten Gerbstoffgerüst gepuffert, hier wollte man nicht zu viel aus dem Jahrgang rausholen, suchte die Balance, nicht die Extraktion. Im Abgang mit einem delikaten Finish aus roten Beeren und einer feinen Würze. Wird früh Spass machen. (Verkostet im April 2022. UGCB)
