Another impressive wine from the Canon Fronsac region, the 2018 Château Vrai Canon Bouche is 55% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec, brought up in 40% new French oak. Rocking levels of blackcurrants, cherries, mulberries, chocolate, and leafy herbs emerge from the glass, and it's rich and medium to full-bodied, with a layered, opulent texture and a great finish.A total sleeper in the vintage, it's ideal for enjoying over the coming decade.

Bouquet élégant, subtil. Invitantes notes de truffes noires suivies d'une touche crayeuse et de nuances de chocolat. En bouche le vin est juteux, élégant, bien soutenu par sa structure acide et par des tannins légèrement suaves qui confèrent de l'ampleur et un peu de gras. Un vin prometteur qui mérite un peu de garde. Je ne l'avais pas vraiment capté durant les Primeurs où il avait une lecture difficile.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Vrai Canon Bouché bursts from the glass with baked plums, blueberry preserves and spice cake scents plus notes of unsmoked cigars, bay leaves and mossy bark. Full, rich and laden with juicy fruit, it has soft, rounded tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with an herbal lift.
