Now almost mature, this richly textured wine is powered by dark tannins that sit comfortably with the black plum and berry fruits. The majority Merlot in the blend gives the wine weight and ripeness that are happily balanced by final juicy acidity. Drink from 2021.

Attractive, riper dark-berry compote, as well as rich plums. This has a dense and juicy core with a long, sleek feed of tannins into the fresh finish. A blend of 85 per cent merlot, nine per cent cabernet franc and six per cent cabernet sauvignon. Try from 2022.

Straightforward, featuring a beam of cassis and plum fruit, melding nicely with the smoldering tobacco and cedar accents. Retains some heft but stays balanced and focused, with a sanguine echo adding cut at the end. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
