Bright, deep ruby-red.  Highly perfumed aromas of sour red cherry, redcurrant, licorice, iron and minerals.  Very suave on entry, then tactile and quite firm in the middle, with pungent flavors of sour red berries and spices.  Tightly coiled, cool and reserved in the typical youthful Hosanna way, showing a restrained sweetness and obvious class.  The very long finish is quite tannic but not hard, featuring excellent grip and subtle violet and mineral nuances.  Forget about this in the cellar for another ten years. (91(+?) points)

A red with plum and milk-chocolate character, plus hints of hazelnut. Medium to full body with firm tannins and a fruity finish. Subtle and firm. Stylish cocoa, berry and mineral undertones. Better in 2016.

Opaque ruby-purple. Strawberry, white pepper and minerals on the cabernet franc-dominated nose. Rich, deep and large-scaled as usual, with brooding flavors similar to the aromas. The very long finish features supple tannins and lovely sweet floral and milk chocolate notes. One of the vintage's top dozen or so wines and another great result for this estate.

One of the superstars of the vintage, this blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc smelled and tasted better than the great Petrus. A stunning opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of spring flowers, black raspberries and licorice. This opulent, velvety textured, full-bodied wine possesses dazzling concentration, adequate acidity and a long finish. What a brilliant effort! It should drink well between 2017 and 2032.

Grande finesse suave, sans lourdeur ni exubérance, mais avec une suavité, notes de lait de coco discrètement associéses au floral, grande allong veloutée et fraîche.

Good depth and concentration for the vintage. Layered dark fruit (blackcurrant) with a hint of spice. Recognizable power and volume but in a lower register. Drink 2018-2030.

Deep in color, chocolate, floral, black raspberry, cherry, oak and plum scents are easy to find. Plush, round textures, with layers of silky, velvety plum and cherry is made better by the wine’s freshness and length, which feel great on the palate. 93-95 Pts

The Hosanna 2011 takes times to settle in the glass, but it attains wonderful cohesion and delineation. It is still very primal and not as cohesive as Christian Moueix’s other Pomerols but it will harmonize and assimilate in bottle. The palate is more composed and delivers a svelte ball of ripe spicy red fruit, perhaps a little lower in acidity with a caressing, toasty finish in keeping with Hosanna’s plusher, slightly more opulent style that is shows in its youth. Tasted April 2012.

Drink 2018-2030 Vineyard encépagement: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. Lovely restrained purity of dark fruit with the clarity and graphite note of Cabernet Franc singing out. Lovely mineral tension and freshness. Fine, fine yet smooth dry tannins. Vivacious in a conservative sort of way. Like well-cut cloth. A beautiful wine. (JH)

Sweet perfumed velvety wine with supple tannins and fairly long finish. Hosanna represents the success in Pomerol from the 2011 vintage - no over extraction, soft, elegant fruit with good depth. Not a big heavy style but reflective of the terroir and vintage.

Sleek and racy, with no angles, as boysenberry and raspberry fruit courses along nicely, supported by light charcoal and ganache shadings on the finish. Yet this is showing its wood today, even though Moueix uses just one-third new oak, and this particular sample is noticeably darker in profile than most others in the vintage. Tasted non-blind.—J.M.

An impressive and powerful wine, with its tannins packed into rich flavors of bitter chocolate and black fruit. —R.V.

Aromas of citrus fruit such as red oranges and chocolate follow through to a full body, with lovely velvety tannins and a long finish. Extremely well done for the vintage.
