Gin The Botanist 46 °
In Victorian times, when Bruichladdich Distillery was built, all Scottish barley was grown organically. The relationship between the distiller, the farmer and the soil was intimate and durable. These links were lost when agriculture industrialized and decided to do without old synergies. A new era of smooth and super-efficient bland production is born. In partnership with organic farmers - Sir William Roberts of Tullibardine Hands, William Rose at Mid Coull and Neil Scobie at Coulmore - these synergies are rediscovered. Working partnerships are important and necessary. Once again, the earth and the drink are united.
