The 2018 Clos Haut-Peyraguey feels a little closed on the nose compared to its peers, notes of beeswax and yellow flowers eventually emerging. The palate is much better with a touch of spice on the entry, layers of viscous, honeyed fruit tinged with marmalade and quince towards the finish. Very pure and very fine.
