From the same property as Mirambeau yet from more limestone soils, the 2017 Château Mont-Perat is another inky-colored effort that knocks it out of the park. Cassis, blackberries, violets, and hints of leafy herbs give way to a ripe, sexy, opulent 2017 that has loads of fruit and texture. It’s not going to make old bones but will dish out loads of pleasure over the coming 2-4 years.
