Look for Croizet-Bages to be a sleeper in 2017.

The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, quite gentle in the mouth with a discrete spiciness coming through with time. Interestingly, I left my sample for five to ten minutes and notice more harmony and depth evolve towards the finish. This Pauillac is often given a short shrift, but I am keeping an open mind until I taste this in bottle. Tasted twice with consistent notes.

It's not the most flamboyant or opulent wine in the appellation, but it's delivering excellent quality firm black fruits, with integrity and Pauillac character. Some fresh mint notes on the finish.
