With a dense, ruby/purple color, low acidity, ripe tannin and well above-average depth, this is really an elegant, cleanly made, pure style of wine, with floral notes, mixed with blueberry and black cherry. It’s medium bodied, with light tannin and is best drunk over the next 10-12 years.

This red shows some cassis, blueberries and floral notes on the nose. Some tar, too. Medium to full body, juicy tannins and a fruity finish. Enticing wine. Drink now or hold.

Bright red ruby with purple tinges.  Sexy, floral aromas of raspberry, pepper, licorice and spices are vibrant and precise.  Juicy, intense and very smooth, with wonderful energy and precision to the flavors of blackberry, licorice and spices.  Very nicely balanced, persistent wine with fine tannins and very good grip--and no green or harsh edges.  This excellent wine gets my nod for Haut-Medoc of the vintage in 2012.  In fact, I was so smitten that I went out of my way to taste it three different times, just to be sure.

Supple, balanced red with good intensity of plums and blackberries on the palate. The firm tannins are velvety and very well handled. The wine is approachable young and will offer great drinking pleasure. Well priced wine for medium term drinking.

The Cantemerle has a fine bouquet that demonstrates clarity and lift – graphite infused black fruit, expressive Cabernet fruit to the fore. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, edge tannins and a lovely citric seam that cuts through the mocha-tinged fruit. The oak feels a little heavy-handed at this stage, but it should integrated well and become a fine Cantemerle for the vintage. Tasted April 2013.

Deep dark crimson. Sweet cherry chocolate on the nose. Rich but fluid. Lively, juicy, fresh and harmonious. Very attractive in a lighter style but has very good length too. (JH)

I appreciate the balance of dark fruits and fine tannins in this young wine. Medium-to-full body, with chewy yet polished tannins and a pretty finish. All in finesse for the vintage.
