Robe pourpre particulièrement soutenue. Nez d'une grande délicatesse avec ses arômes de petits fruits rouges et de vanille douce. Bouche tout en élégance, assez suave, avec des tanins fins et une acidité assez relevée en finale. Agréable mais en dessous du niveau habituel de Beauséjour-Bécot.

La robe se dévoile d'un rubis profond. Le nez offre une gamme d'arômes variée et complexe: fumé, réglisse, petits fruits noirs, terre humide, chocolat et bien d'autres. L'attaque est douce, l'acidité faible. C'est un vin de garde, qui attendra encore 10-12 ans.

Despite the hail storm that forced this estate to harvest early, the 1999 has turned out surprisingly well. It reveals an opaque ruby color as well as an excellent bouquet of smoke, licorice, new oak, and black fruits. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with a sweet entry, but the finish is short. Nevertheless, this is a very good to excellent effort for the vintage. Anticipated maturity: now-2014.

A seriously hail-damaged vineyard, this estate's dark ruby/purple-colored 1999 exhibits medium body, pleasant, straightforward black currant and cherry flavors, but a short, attenuated mid-palate and finish (blame the hail). Drink it over the next 6-7 years.
