Nez parfaitement typé et expressif, rappelant le bulbe de begonia, l’iris, un peu de truffe noire en filigrane, corps parfait, tannin ferme et riche, grandes possibilités de garde, on est au niveau de très beaux classés de Saint-Émilion.

A real powerhouse, the 2015 Fontenil exudes power, richness and intensity. Dark blue and purplish hued fruits, violets, lavender, mint and sweet spices are fused together in a deep, beautifully resonant wine endowed with class and personality. This is a superb vintage for the Fontenil.

Plush and ripe and full of very promising black plum fruit. Excellent flavour concentration and juicy. Smooth tannin, fairly light body. Attractive spice on the finish. (RH) Drink 2017-2024.

Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Extrem intensives, schwarzbeeriges Fruchtbouquet, mit Lakritze und Rauchnoten unterlegt. Im Gaumen bleibt dieser auffallende Fronsac eine schwarzbeerige Orgie. Hinter diesem äusserst gelungenen Wein steht ein berühmter Mann: Michel Rolland. Und der hat heuer den besten Fontenil seines Lebens gemacht. So einfach ist das. 18/20 2023 – 2038

This is very dense and super silky, ripe tannins. Full and beautiful. Lots of wet earth, asphalt and blueberry character. One of best ever. Pure merlot.

Le 100 % merlot réussit très bien à ce cru cette année. Coloré, fruité et épicé au nez, il offre une bouche
moelleuse, parfumée, savoureuse et longue, sur une bonne consistance sans dureté. C'est bon !
