Medium ruby.  High-pitched aromas of raspberry, coffee, cocoa and graphite.  Dense, sappy and quite dry, with serious acidity giving spine to the flavors of red fruits, coffee, spices and graphite.  Not an easy style but sharply chiseled and taut.  Finishes with good subtle length.  I find this has sneaky concentration and depth.

A sinewy Pauillac, with a peppery edge, offering tobacco and savory notes that hold sway over a core of bitter cherry and red currant fruit. A chalky echo holds the finish, which has some length. Best from 2015 through 2021.

I am impressed with this for the vintage. It’s full and round with a succulent, juicy structure, silky tannins and a plum, cocoa, cedar and berry aftertaste. Outstanding harmony for 2011. Try in 2017.

O= 2018 G= 15 ans

(75% cabernet sauvignon and 25% merlot): Medium red. Floral red fruits and underbrush on the nose. Supple and silky but classically dry, with dark cherry fruit complicated by spice, graphite and cedar tones. Finishes long and clean, with juicy blackcurrant and graphite nuances and pronounced minerality. Almost a "fun" Duhart in its refinement, and less austere than usual. Well done.

More richness than expected, beautifully extracted, elegant and polished, it shows Lafite stable Pauillac elegance. Drink 2017-2030. (17.5 points)

Tart acids give this dark ruby/purple-tinged wine a crunchy, fresh, lively feel on the palate. Composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, this medium-bodied 2011 reveals loads of finesse and purity, but is slightly superficial compared to recent vintages such as 2009 and 2010. It should drink well for 10-15 years.

The 2011 Duhart Milon is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot and offers a typically foursquare bouquet with blackberry, wild hedgerow and pencil lead. It does not have the aromatic penetration displayed by the 2010 last year. The palate is medium-bodied and demands time to unwind, displaying broody dark berries and a touch of sous-bois and black olive. There is a Graves-like tincture towards the finish. This is a sedate, medium-term Duhart. Tasted April 2012

75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot make up the blend. With a perfume of black cherry, smoke and lead pencil, the wine offers ample, fresh, chewy Cabernet flavors with freshness and cassis. 91-93 Pts

This is a svelte Duhart-Milon, quite different in size and dimension compared to the previous years. The aromas are attractive with spicy and floral notes as well as fresh black berries. Duhaurt Milon in this vintage displays great linearity with lovely aromatics. The tannins are well handled and the length is fairly long.

Drink 2018-2030
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot. Inky with black core. Sweeter smelling than the Carruades. Light oak spice. Then cedary and so silky on the palate. Just glides though there's plenty of tannin there. Creamy long finish. (JH)

Shows high-toned cherry, tobacco leaf, grilled herb and lightly mulled spice notes. Very formed already, with a lingering dusty finish as the herb note peeks out more and more with air. Tasted non-blind.—J.M.

Rich, spicy and dense, this wine shows a serious side. It has power and concentration, and the wood offers dryness as well as spice. Its fruit seems to be a separate layer at this stage. —R.V

This shows lots of sweet tobacco and blueberry character. Full and silky with fine tannins. Keeps fresh. Long. Well done.
